Sharon Van Etten is having a stellar year. Her album, Remind Me Tomorrow, is spectacular and has lead her to appear on daytime and late night talk shows alike. With a strangely early set time, it seemed too bright for make-out music, but as the heartbeat and low drone of "Jupiter 4" began, it quickly became clear that there's no wrong time of day to be enamoured.

Through the first part of her set she addressed the crowd only through her songs, and by making as much eye contact as possible from behind her low-hanging bangs. Her incandescent spirit cracked wide open two-thirds through her set though, when she leaned in to share the mic with a turbo fan, who sang along with her for the chorus of "Seventeen."

As she juxtaposed the evening appearing behind her with "Everytime the Sun Comes Up," the audience was completely enraptured. Sharon Van Etten has been getting glowing reviews and appearing on "best of 2019 so far" lists, so it made beautiful sense that she also utterly lit up the Interstellar Rodeo stage.
