Said the Whale

"The Whale" ("The Fox" parody video)

Aside from that footage of a girl's highly flammable twerk routine, the big viral vid of the week seems to be Norwegian comedy duo Ylvis's ridiculous animal-sound party jam "The Fox." Now, West Coast pop rock group Said the Whale are getting in on the action by serving up a parody called, what else, "The Whale."

Like the intentionally cheesy electro-pop original, the parody finds couch-bound frontman Tyler Bancroft summarizing mooing cows and woofing mutts, which leads him to the question "what does the whale say?" A full-on choreographed dance routine from the rest of the band helps answer this ages-old riddle, and you can see the ridiculous result down below.

As previously reported, Said the Whale recently revealed fall tour plans to support their upcoming hawaiii LP, due out September 17 via Hidden Pony Records. You can see the show info over here.
