Rocko Removing Controversial Rick Ross Verse on "U.O.E.N.O." Remix

While Rocko's "U.O.E.N.O." caught fire earlier this year, the track also stirred up controversy via some date-rape-insinuating lyrics from Rick Ross, and Rocko has now announced he's removing the Bawse's verse on an upcoming remix.

The move was announced in an interview with Hot 97 [via XXL], where Rocko admitted that he had to scrap Ross' bars over the negative attention it brought to the track.

"With me, I feel like I'm a street artist so I feel like the record with Ross that will always be the original record," he said, adding, "But because of the type of attraction the record has as far as like radio and all over the country and things of that nature it puts me in a position to where I have to change it."

The line in question had Ross spitting: "Put molly all in her champagne / She ain't even know it / I took her home and I enjoyed that / She ain't even know it." Following protests over the bars, including an ultimately successful bid to have a show cancelled in Ottawa, Ross responded that "there was a misinterpretation with the lyric."

"It's a catch-22. I don't want to take him out," Rocko continued. "It doesn't matter who I put on the song that's gonna always be the original version of it. It's not like I can do another verse and be like, 'Okay, this the original right here.'"

Rocko, meanwhile, didn't give out all the details about the impending remix, but it's rumoured that it may feature bars from Ross' rival Young Jeezy.
