Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist Flea is launching his own podcast. This Little Light will examine his artistic journey, and the 15-episode run has confirmed guests including Rick Rubin, Thundercat, Patti Smith, Margo Price and Cynthia Erivo.
This Little Light will focus on how teachers and early experiences impact artists' future endeavours, giving Flea and guests a chance to revisit their own musical journeys. The podcast will debut on March 30.
"I wanted to do This Little Light to benefit my music school, the Silverlake Conservatory of Music," said Flea in a statement. "The idea behind it being music education, falling in love with music and embarking on a musical journey for your life. Everybody's path is so different, and it's fascinating to learn how every musician came to music and developed their study of it over time." Proceeds from the podcast will go toward the non-profit school, which Flea founded in 2001.
Flea produced the podcast along with Parallel and Audacy's Cadence13 podcast studio.
Flea is currently on tour with the Red Hot Chili Peppers, who have a lone Canadian date on March 29 in Vancouver. Read our rankings of all of the band's 2022 songs, as well as their 20 best songs ever.
