Ahead of kicking off a tour of Western Canada early next month, Propagandhi have opted to reschedule dates outside of their home province of Manitoba for 2022.
The band were set to begin their run of shows October 2 in Vancouver, BC, with additional shows booked in Alberta and Saskatchewan alongside Edmonton punks Choke. However, current COVID-19 situations in those provinces have led them to reconsider.
"We want to ensure that the health and safety of the fans, venue, staff and band is not compromised. With the current caseload and the number of uncontrollable variables at this time we feel it's best to postpone all the dates west of Manitoba into 2022," Propagandhi wrote in a statement.
As the band's updated tour itinerary shows below, Propagandhi and Choke will now play three straight evenings at Winnipeg's Park Theatre this October, with no further dates in 2021.
In 2022, they'll pick things up again with shows at Edmonton's Starlite Room on January 21 and 22, saving shows in Regina, Saskatoon and Vancouver until September 2022.
All previously purchased tickets will be honoured at the newly scheduled dates, while tickets for the newly added dates in Winnipeg and Edmonton go on sale September 20 at 10 a.m. CST.
Propagandhi released their most recent album Victory Lap in 2017, while this past March saw the group appear on a previously unreleased SNFU EP.
