Grimes

Grimes is Claire Boucher, another Arbutus Records sweetheart with an affinity for synths, dreamy loops, delays and probably Ouija boards. Grimes weaves melody and oddity to produce an eerie and sometimes medieval sound that magically overcomes being too obscure to be enjoyed by the masses that flocked to the Rialto to see her. Boucher played a haunting set of songs from her album, Geidi Primes, and if she wasn't so darn charming, the set might've been too chilling. But luckily, her dulcet voice saved the day.
