poolblood — the solo project of Toronto singer-songwriter Maryam Said — has announced their incredibly titled new EP theres_plenty_of_music_to_go_around.zip, set to arrive on April 5 via Next Door Records.
The three-track EP (which includes a live version of last year’s “twinkie”) is the follow-up to 2023’s mole, Said’s debut album as poolblood, and it’s being previewed with new song “wringer.” Created with San Fermin’s Allen Tate, “wringer” is a detailed, blossoming piece of languid indie rock that features guitar work from Portland’s Drew Harmon.
It also comes attached to a music video directed and edited by Shamir Bailey, which features Said driving around Lake Tahoe and the streets of Los Angeles.
