Last week, a Schoolboy Q concert at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO, ended with three injuries following a shooting in the parking lot. While Q was handcuffed and detained by police, it now looks as if he was actually the target of the shooting.
There have been no developments in what may have spurred the violence, but Billboard now reports that the gunman had actually opened fire on an SUV carrying Schoolboy Q after the concert.
Jefferson County Sheriff's Office spokesman Mark Techmeyer explained that the suspect was hiding in the bushes and disappeared into the darkness after the shots were fired. He added that it's possible Schoolboy Q was the target of the shooting.
He added that the venue's location in the dark foothills west of Denver are making it more difficult to gather information.
