Cheered on by a hometown crowd that featured his former Local Rabbits band-mates, Elkas flexed his new songs with a power trio, including drummer Don Kerr. His new material is less claustrophobic than later-period Rabbits, and he’s not afraid to unleash a casually brilliant classic rock guitar solo into a relatively laid-back song.
