Grunge gods Pearl Jam are teasing new music, as the title track from an album called Dark Matter is expected to drop tonight (February 13) at midnight.

On Twitter, they shared an image of a cosmic-looking stage setup with the words "Midnight ET."

The follows reports of a listening party that the band hosted on January 31 in Los Angeles. The album was produced by Andrew Watt at Rick Rubin's Shangri-La studio in Malibu, CA, and Vedder told the audience at the party that he considered it "our best work." The band apparently recorded the album around a year ago.

A clip of the single "Dark Matter" has been added to the band's Wikipedia page; the uploader is listed as Republic Records, so it seems to be legit. The band tweeted a separate clip of moody organ chords over the weekend (February 9).

Fan site pearljamonline.it notes that hidden links to pre-save the album were emailed to members of the fan community Ten Club.

Dark Matter will be Pearl Jam's first album since 2020's Gigaton.
