The pandemic may have put the brakes on Partner's tour plans after rolling out the single "Good Place to Hide (At the Time)" earlier this year, but the duo have now returned with another new track and fantastic video to match.
"Hello and Welcome" arrives alongside visuals from Midnight Peacemaker (a.k.a. Dustin Apodaca), in which Josée Caron and Lucy Niles take space rock to new heights. It opens with listeners tuning in to a televised performance from the pair, decked out in KISS suits with requisite amp stacks behind.
Caron and Niles soon rocket through the roof of Toronto's Danforth Music Hall to the stars above, floating freely before an alien plucks them and their goldtop Les Paul from space for some out of this world soloing. From there, the two plot an escape back to earth — and into Lake Ontario.
You can watch the animated adventure unfold below.
Partner shared their EP Saturday the 14th last year, while their most recent full-length remains 2017's In Search of Lost Time.
