The Order of Good Cheer

'The Order of Good Cheer' (album stream)

BY Exclaim! StaffPublished Jun 3, 2014

Toronto-based bar rockers the Order of Good Cheer are set to follow up their 2010 EP Tanto Monta~Monta Tanto with the release of a new self-titled album. It doesn't arrive until June 10 via Dine Alone Records distribution, but rather than make you wait, we've got a stream of the whole thing now.

On this record, a press release promises that the band hope to "divert from their country-booze-rock origins and focus on a classic rock'n'roll sound." They worked with producer "Scuba" Steve Krecklo to record 11 new songs with topics including "love, lust, booze, the Devil and fishing."

Need more reason to check it out? The album also includes guest appearances from Serena Ryder and Rusty Matyas (of Imaginary Cities and Weakerthans).

Listen to The Order of Good Cheer below. To celebrate the album's release, the Order of Good Cheer will serve as the house band at Toronto bar the Piston for every Wednesday in June.
