Olivia Rodrigo has officially come north of the border on her sprawling world tour. The pop star wrapped up her Montreal double-header last night (March 27) and, in true Zoomer fashion, marked the occasion with a TikTok.
Captioned "ily montreal," the video is supposedly shot in Montreal's Bell Centre — but it doesn't take a genius to deduct that she's actually at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.
Whether by the ads for American companies strewn about the stadium or, more simply, by the "Go to detroitsbiggestfan.com now" prompt on the screens behind her, it's pretty clear even to those unfamiliar with Bell Centre.
Unfortunately for Rodrigo, the massive venue's regular concertgoers took to her comments to point out more specific mishaps.
"Go look up a photo of inside the Bell Centre. Their seats are red," one user quipped. "Also, the advertising would be a legal issue in Montreal. Where is the French?"
She did fool some unsuspecting Canadians, though, including the official account for Prime Video Canada, which replied "yesssssssss" with a Canadian flag attached.
With back-to-back Toronto shows this weekend, maybe we'll get to see some real Bell Centre content in lieu of Scotiabank Arena. Regardless, the GUTS Gallery pop-up shop coming to Queen Street West from March 29 to 31 is the real treat for Toronto's Olivia Rodrigo fans.
