Canadian indie-folk duo Ocie Elliott — formed by Jon Middleton and Sierra Lundy — have released their Slow Tide EP, and you can stream it in full here at Exclaim!
Writing the EP over the course of three days in an oceanside bungalow in Ladysmith on Vancouver Island, Middleton and Lundy let the peace around them inform their songwriting, producing a serene, easy-listening batch of songs.
Featuring five tracks of dusty folk painted in "broad strokes of acoustic instrumentation," Slow Tide's lyrical eloquence is "meant for nights under the stars, long drives with no destination, and quiet moments of reprieve."
In addition to releasing their new record today, the pair have also shared the official music video for their song "Now You Don't," along with a video for the EP's title track.
Slow Tide follows the release of the duo's 2020 EPs Tracks and In That Room.
