Ahead of releasing new album Rodeo Clown later this year, Nora Kelly Band have lifted the curtain on both a summer tour and another song from the LP.
The Montreal quintet will hit the road this July and August, with shows in Pacific Northwest slated for the former month, while an East Coast swing has been lined up for the latter.
Canadian stops in July include a pair of shows in Vancouver set for July 10 and 14, ahead of August performances in Ottawa, Toronto and their home city. You can find the complete itinerary below, and further ticket details here.
Alongside the tour news, Nora Kelly Band have also shared new song "Roswell," arriving with a video from director Sarah Bradshaw you can watch below. In a release, Kelly describes herself as a "massive UFOlogy nerd," sharing how "Roswell" was partly inspired by attending a family wedding near the city in New Mexico, at which she met an astronomer: "He revealed he'd seen a lot of UFOs but, to my dismay, all these events were explainable, according to him."
"Throughout the rest of the song, I try to show the underlying reason why I love thinking about UFOs and aliens," Kelly adds. "For me, allowing oneself to suspend disbelief is the best way to keep life interesting. If you don't necessarily believe/not believe something and are just interested in the stories, life stays weird. Once the wedding festivities had ceased, I took off towards New Mexico in a rental car. I wrote the lyrics to 'Roswell' in the back seat."
As previously reported, Rodeo Clown arrives August 25 via Mint Records. The album follows last year's EP Perfect Pig.
