New Pornographers are gearing up to ring in 2017 with a New Year's Eve celebration in their hometown of Vancouver, but it turns out fans of the band have even more to look forward to in the new year.
Todd Fancey is reprising his solo moniker Fancey for a brand new record titled Love Mirage. It's due out on January 27.
The forthcoming set of songs was recorded with vintage keyboards and synths, giving it a '70s AM radio vibe, though there are also disco-inspired tracks and some more experimental elements, as well.
You can get an idea of what to expect with the arrival of the lead single, "Baby Sunshine." Aptly enough, it's a bright, upbeat ditty that will send listeners right back in time. The accompanying lyric video and LP art even borrow the font from the iconic Mary Tyler Moore Show.
