The rumors circulating about New Order disbanding have come to pass. The band have split up, according to bassist Peter Hook and www.nme.com.
Drummer Stephen Morris commented earlier this year, "we should stop for a while. But it wasnt until Hook spoke to Xfm, a new rock UK radio station, about his inclusion with Perry Farrells Satellite Party that the split was officially announced.
"I spoke to Perry and he asked me to play bass, as hed heard about New Order splitting up. Well, yeah, me and Bernard [Sumner] arent working together, said Hook.
Commenting on the permanency of the disbanding, Hook added, "Bernard went off for a break with Electronic, but that was different. But its like the boy who cried wolf this time.
