Will he be celebrating his 33rd birthday with his very own diss track?

A fresh hairdo, a request to be removed from Morrissey's album, a very spicy New Year's Eve party — it's clear Miley Cyrus is crafting a new public image, but what is it all leading to?

The artist began teasing a new album a few weeks ago, and she's officially announced plans for a new single called "Flowers," dropping on January 13 — which also happens to be the 33rd birthday of her on-again, off-again ex, Liam Hemsworth.

A teaser revealed over the holidays shows Cyrus strutting in a gold lamé dress in a fashion that, as Buzzfeed points out, eludes to a very awkward moment between her and her ex during a Vanity Fair party red carpet interview

The track's lyrics are likewise unsubtle, with Cyrus singing, "I can hold my own hand / I can buy myself flowers / I can love me better than you can / I can take myself dancing," and so on. Just when you thought things reached peak petty with Lana Del Rey's billboard...

All this leads us to ponder: are we getting a Miley Cyrus breakup album? Dig into the clues and put the pieces together for yourself below, or wait till January 13 to find out in real-time.
