Migos member Takeoff has died. He was 28.
Takeoff, born Kirshnik Khari Ball, was shot at a bowling alley early this morning, around 2:30 a.m., TMZ writes. He was reportedly playing dice at the time with fellow Migos member Quavo, who was unhurt. Two other people at the scene (810 Billiards & Bowling Houston) were shot and taken to hospital.
Migos were founded in 2008, finding breakthrough success in 2013 with the single "Versace." They went on to release more hits, including the chart-topping "Bad and Boujee" in 2016. They appeared on the Exclaim! cover in 2017; Takeoff told us at the time, "We influence a lot of people, a lot of ages, so we got the whole culture."
Migos released their album Culture III in 2021. Takeoff and Quavo fell out with third Migos member Offset in 2022, and the two released the album Only Built for Infinity Links in October.
