As previously reported, Ryan Murphy is about to drop the Tony Award-winning musical The Prom on Netflix. The star-studded film includes Nicole Kidman, Ariana Grande, Awkwafina, Keegan Michael-Key and James Corden, but for some reason, the first music we're getting from it is a Meryl Streep rap song.
To be fair, "Wear Your Crown" is less a gritty trap banger and more of a vogue-friendly dance pop tune. But following some vocals from Ariana DeBose and Jo Ellen Pellman, Meryl Streep definitely does attempt to rap at the 1:50 mark.
Is it the worst thing we've ever heard? Honestly, maybe. Listen to Streep's big rap debut below.
The Prom film is set to arrive on Netflix on December 11.
