Mastodon

Amazingly, this DVD features live renditions of all but two songs the mighty metal machine Mastodon have ever recorded; sadly, the footage varies from pro-shot and multi-camera to bootleg quality. There's just not enough footage of the amazing drum freak show that is Bränn Dailor, but it's still a good watch. The three music videos are above average, but the 45-minute documentary is a bit too "fart joke" to warrant repeat viewings (one was pushing it). A great band, and fans will love this DVD, especially the quality live footage. At three hours, there's certainly a lot to chew on. (Relapse)
