Counting down to the release of their highly anticipated new album Live, Laugh, Major Love, Major Love have announced a run of spring Canadian tour dates in Alberta, British Columbia and Ontario. They've shared the news alongside the latest preview of the LP, "One Woman."
Kicking things off in frontwoman Colleen Brown's hometown of Edmonton the night before the release on May 16, the quartet will go on to play Calgary (May 17), Lethbridge (May 18) and Red Deer (May 19) in Alberta before moving on to a pair of British Columbia shows in Penticton (May 21) and Vancouver (May 23).
The following month, they'll venture to Ontario to play Ottawa's Live on Elgin (June 9) and Toronto's Horseshoe Tavern (June 10). Major Love will wrap things up back in BC with a performance in Golden on June 26.
Gospel-tinged new single "One Woman" comes in celebration of International Women's Day (March 8). “I wanted to highlight the way women are pitted against one another, and question the idea that there are only so many spots available for women to succeed," Brown explained in a statement. "This felt especially true for me in my twenties, but as I get older it's more apparent that it's just bogus."
