As previously reported, Maestro Fresh Wes is set to deliver Orchestrated Noise, his first full-length in 13 years, on June 25 via Fontana North. While that's still a week away, don't get your cummerbund in a bunch. Exclaim! is letting you hear the Canadian hip-hop hero's latest ahead of schedule.
Described as a "conceptual extension" to 1989's game-changing Symphony in Effect, Maestro's latest weaves rock and classical instrumentation into its beats. The rapper had previously stated Orchestrated Noise is "my most ambitious album."
The record features a number of guest stars, including soprano singer Measha Brueggergosman, Public Enemy's Chuck D, Sam Roberts, K-os, Lights, Brand Nubian's Sadat X, Kardinal Offishall, Kool G Rap, Divine Brown, Saukrates, and more. It also includes the Classified team-up "Reach for the Sky (Try)" and the Trews collaboration with the "I Wanna Know," which both popped up on Maestro's Black Tuxedo EP from 2012.
