Madlib

"The Mad March"

Madlib has a new LP called Rock Konducta set to drop later this year, but before the crate-digging beatsmith serves up the effort in full, he'll be issuing a white label 7-inch that's also titled Rock Konducta. The limited-edition release is being pressed in a run of 300 copies by Rappcats, and will be available at Madlib's show at San Francisco's 1015 Folsom on June 7. In case you can't make it, you can stream the slab's "The Mad March" now.

"The Mad March" is one of five tracks threaded onto the mini-release. Though it starts off with a "Ballroom Blitz" snare shuffle and ecstatic hollering from all sorts of party people, the track eventually focuses on a back-and-forth between noodly guitars and brassy horns.
