Madlb Announces More Releases, Plays Toronto

Unlike his Madvillain partner MF Doom, who may or may not be releasing a new album this year, Madlib is one prolific dude. Having already released a Madvillain remix album and the previously announced King of the Wigflip record due later this month, the prolific producer has detailed the fifth volume of his Beat Konducta series.

Coming out October 28 from Stones Throw Records, the album is titled Dil Cosby Suite and features 21 tracks of Madlib’s otherworldly production. To top it off, he’s announced two dates where he’ll be performing as Beat Konducta, including a stop at Toronto’s Wrongbar on October 17.

But wait, that’s not all. There is also hearsay that a Madlib-produced Guilty Simpson album titled OJ Simpson will also surface this fall. It all begs the question if Madlib is one person, or a committee of super-producers.
