Luna Li is hitting the stage in her hometown of Toronto this Saturday (September 28) for one of the city's can't-miss concerts this month, but she recently ran into social media personality Shan Rizwan on the streets of New York City and was given the opportunity to test her knowledge of Tame Impala for $100 (we can only assume USD — and with the current exchange rate, it'd better be).

The artist born Hannah Bussiere Kim told Rizwan that the one-man band helmed by the artist born Kevin Parker was her favourite in high school, and revealed that she actually discovered his music by stalking her friend's crush on Facebook.

"My friend had a crush on this guy, and I was snooping around his Facebook page and he posted 'Feels Like We Only Go Backwards,'" Li said, citing the track from 2012's Lonerism. "And I listened to it, and I was like, 'Whoa...'"

After successfully proving that she was a certified fan (at least it seems like Rizwan doesn't exclusively force these tests upon women wearing band T-shirts?) and collecting her cash, the multi-instrumentalist recommended that viewers check out her song "Bon Voyage" from her own glowing sophomore album, When a Thought Grows Wings, if they were also into Tame Impala. In this case, the less you know is not the better — it's a beautiful record!
