Recession indicator this, propaganda that; what about the week's best new Canadian music? We're also suckers for a good list, so here's ours: something you can fall for, and be glad that you did.
Exclaim! New Faves alumnae NADUH are emphasizing the latter syllable of their name on their latest project, duh., which is a must-listen (obviously). Meanwhile, Luna Li has dug out her harp to cover the recently viral 2005 Imogen Heap song "Headlock" for Spotify Singles. It's all "Surfacing" for Montreal's KARABA, who continues to build anticipation for her upcoming Tides EP, while Aysanabee offers us the latest taste of next month's Edge of the Earth.
This week in album releases, we have the Spotify-eschewing solo debut from Cassia Hardy (In Relation), as well as the sophomore record from New Chance and Two Hours Traffic's comeback EP.
Elsewhere, Bad Waitress are resorting to "Plan B," while Great Lake Swimmers celebrate a tour announcement with "One More Dance Around the Sun."
It's a sign of the times — it's Friday and there's new music — with The Eh! List below, presented by Mary Brown's Chicken — all Canadian and proud of it!
