London, ON-based trio Thunder Queens have announced their debut album, previewed today by lead single "Fighter."

Strike One is due April 24 through Victory Pool Records. It follows their 2020 self-titled EP, which they released via Yeah Right!

As legend has it, Lola Hayman (drums, vocals), Violet Bruneel (guitar, vocals) and Clara Magnan (bass, vocals) became friends while scrounging for loonies under the Call the Office pinball machines. From the legendary local venue, they took to the streets with their skateboards and formed Thunder Queens in between eating ice cream cones.

They wrote lead track "Fighter" about how tired they were of hearing how their generation was doomed to fail at the ages of 9 and 10 — and now, on the cusp of high school and having played together for half a decade, they're ready to unleash its raw, engine-revving energy.

Check out the "Fighter" video below, where you'll also find the album tracklist.
