If "good vibes by the ocean" sounds like just the prescription you need, you're in luck: Lawnya Vawnya returns to Downtown St. John's, NL, this June 8 to 11 for the festival's 12th edition.
The 2022 lineup is helmed by national acts Lido Pimienta, Status/Non-Status, Nap Eyes, BAMBII, Pantayo, Sauna, Tess Roby, Heaven for Real, Markus Floats, Myriam Gendron, Motherhood and more, as well as local talent like Conditioner, Katie Baggs, Weary and Exclaim! New Faves alum Swimming.
Furthermore, the Exposition of Independent Art & Culture will include readings from Newfoundland-hailing professors Allison Graves and Amelia Harris, poet Douglas Walbourne-Gough, chef Kat Danylewich and textile artist Megan Samms.
There will also be a film screening of Poly Styrene: I Am a Cliché, directed by Celeste Bell and Paul Sng, as well as panel discussions, workshops, artist talks, a two-day record and press fair, pop-up shows and a music crawl through the heart of the city.
