After revealing plans to reunite with Mercyful Fate earlier this month, King Diamond has now revealed plans for a new solo album and fall tour.
The frontman has announced he'll deliver a new solo album titled The Institute through Metal Blade in 2020. A first single from the effort will arrive later this year.
"For reasons unknown to you, it is clear that you have no way of making it to 'The Institute' on your own at this point," he offered in a statement. "Therefore, we will bring 'The Institute' to you. You don't want to miss this special opportunity for treatment only we can give you. It could be for your own good, you know…"
Ahead of The Institute's arrival, King Diamond will tour North America later this year alongside Uncle Acid & the Deadbeats and Idle Hands.
A pair of Canadian dates have been included on the run. The three bands will first hit Montreal's M-Telus on November 12 before playing Vancouver's Queen Elizabeth Theatre on November 27.
