As part of their ongoing celebration of 50 years of music-making, King Crimson are now set to treat their iconic debut In the Court of the Crimson King to an anniversary reissue.

The album will see release as a four-disc box set and a 2xLP set on October 25 through Panegyric/DGM.

The box set features all-new 2019 stereo and 5.1 mixes of the album by Steven Wilson, in addition to the original album mix, a complete alternate version of the album with Wilson's 2019 mixes, instrumental mixes and more.

The set will also feature three CDs with the 2019 mixes in stereo and instrumental forms, an expanded alternate album and the original album mix, complete with additional tracks.

All four discs will be housed in two gatefold sleeves, which arrive in an exterior slipcase alongside a booklet with new liner notes from King Crimson biographer Sid Smith.

The vinyl edition of the reissue will feature Wilson's 2019 stereo mix on the first LP, while the second LP features the alternate album with tracks mixed by Wilson and David Singleton. The LPs will be pressed to 200-gram vinyl and were cut by Jason Mitchell at Loud Mastering.
