King Crimson have announced a 25-date North American tour set to kick off this June.
The band will hit multiple U.S. cities this summer, starting in Clearwater, FL, in early June, making their way north of the border to wrap up in Rama, ON, in mid-July.
Along with their previously announced Canadian festival appearances at Festival d'Été de Québec and RBC Ottawa Bluesfest, King Crimson will also make stops at Casino Rama and Montreal's Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier Palace des Arts.
Band member Tony Levin offered the following statement about the upcoming tour:
The summer tour will be a throwback one for us in a few ways; great to be going back to outdoor venues, some of them the 'sheds' we played in the '80s. And we'll be travelling by tour bus, old school! As for what pieces we'll play, that hasn't been decided yet, but will likely be a wide selection from the 50 years of Crimson repertoire. With seven players on stage, we can cover it all.
Celebrating 50 years of the music-making, the band reissued their debut album In the Court of the Crimson King back in October through Panegyric/DGM.
Tickets for the tour will be available for purchase here.
