After Silver Jews/Purple Mountains' David Berman passed away this summer, friends, family and fans have been paying tribute through covers, memoirs and eulogies. Now, Kevin Morby, Woods, Anna St. Louis and Little Wings' Kyle Field paid special tribute to the late Berman this weekend by performing a cover of his Purple Mountains song "All My Happiness Is Gone" at Woodsist Festival in Upstate New York.
Woods served as Berman's backing band during the recording of Purple Mountains, while St. Louis sang on the record. The album was to be Berman's final recording before his death.

Berman's label Drag City penned a heartbreaking eulogy, Exclaim!'s Vish Khanna wrote a memoir about the artist and local Toronto bookers held a tribute show on the date Berman was scheduled to perform in town.
