This year's Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees were announced this morning, and after four nominations, Kate Bush has finally made it in! Likely thanks in part to the Bushissance, the icon is finally getting her flowers, though she still seems pretty amazed by it.
"I have to admit I'm completely shocked at the news of being inducted into the Hall of Fame! It's something I just never thought would happen," Bush said [via Rolling Stone]. "Thank you so much to everyone who voted for me. It means a great deal that you would think of me. It's such a huge honour."
Now finally part of the exclusive, choosy club, Bush expects all the benefits that come with it: "Now, as part of the initiation ceremony, I get to find out about the secret handshake… there is one, right?"
One can't help but think that Bush's induction was cemented by last year's revival of "Running Up That Hill" thanks to Stranger Things. Maybe that's what made that one Hall of Fame voter finally realize who she is?
