Last year, the world watched Kanye West (or Ye, legally) alter and amend his tenth studio LP Donda over a series of listening events, and the musical Jeen-Yuhs has now announced plans for a sequel.
Today on Instagram, West shared that new album Donda 2 would arrive February 22, and that the new collection is executive produced by Future. You can find the announcement down below, featuring the replica of West's childhood home that featured prominently in last year's Donda live events.
Days into 2022, Universal Music Group senior vice-president of A&R Steven Victor told Complex, "Ye has started working on his new masterpiece Donda 2." In a subsequent interview with Complex, he shared, "Listen, [Donda 2 is] coming sooner than you think. The procession is starting and it's not stopping."
West and Future last came together on "I Won," a collaboration that appeared on the latter's 2014 album Honest. More recently, the pair were together onstage for a festival date at Rolling Loud California.
This month, West shared a new song with the Game on which he is ready to "beat Pete Davidson's ass," marking his first new music since Donda's release.
