The songwriting veteran wore a stripy sweater and Chuck Taylors, playing a variety of material through her recently repaired mini-amp. Improvising the set list, she sang her songs and told stories, at one point pausing mid-tune ("Elevator Show) to explain its origins. A warm-up gig of sorts for a later Shotgun & Jaybird show at another venue, her meandering tempos and spacey but not annoying delivery was greeted with a great deal of warmth from the audience. American songwriter Victoria Williams came to mind in certain moments and like her, Doiron makes the kind of organic, honest music Neil Young would certainly appreciate.
