As allegations against Diddy continue to pile on, celebrities are further dissociating themselves from the disgraced rap mogul. Following Kesha's lyric change in the iconic opening line in "TiK ToK," Joe Jonas and his band are the latest to alter their Diddy-related lyricism.
In the 2015 radio classic "Cake by the Ocean" by DNCE, frontman Jonas sings: "Walk for me, baby / I'll be Diddy, you'll be Naomi, woah-oh." A line directly referencing Diddy and his relationship with supermodel Naomi Campbell in the early 2000s.
Most recent footage from the Jonas Brothers concert at the LDLC Arena in Paris, France, on September 28 shows that the Jo-bro has had second thoughts about the original lyric. In the fan-recorded video, Jonas appears to omit Diddy's name entirely in the now-altered line, instead singing: "Walk for me, baby / I'll be watching you be Naomi."
Sean "Diddy" Combs was arrested and charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution on September 16 in New York following months of abuse allegations.
In a news conference held on Tuesday, October 1, in Houston, TX, a team of lawyers announced they will be filing 120 additional sexual assault lawsuits against Diddy in New York, Los Angeles and Miami — as more than 3,000 responses came in after a callout asking for other alleged victims to come forward.
