A herniated disc continues to keep her out of action

After revealing last month that a herniated disc caused her to miss a festival performance in Ottawa, Jessie Reyez has now been forced to cancel upcoming festival dates at Osheaga and Riverfest Elora.

The Montreal festival announced Reyez's cancellation earlier this week (July 30), referencing the injury she sustained at Delaware's Firefly Festival on June 23. Yesterday (July 31), organizers revealed that rapper Mick Jenkins would take her spot in the lineup in time for the festival kickoff tomorrow (August 2).

Riverfest Elora also announced that Reyez would be unable to headline their 2019 edition on July 30. "We wish Jessie all the best and a speedy recovery! Hopefully we will see her at #RFE2020," they wrote on Twitter. Riverfest Elora organizers have yet to name a replacement for Reyez.

Osheaga is set to take place at Montreal's Parc Jean-Drapeau from August 2 through 4. This year's lineup includes Childish Gambino, the Chemical Brothers, Tame Impala, Logic, Flume, the Lumineers, Interpol, Janelle Monáe, Hozier, Kaytranada and more.

Riverfest Elora is set to take place August 16 to 18 at Bissell Park in Elora, Ontario. Acts set to play the 2019 edition include City and Colour, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones, Alice Merton, A Tribe Called Red, Joel Plaskett Emergency, Mix Master Mike, K-os, Hubert Lenoir and more.
