Jerusalem in My Heart haven't released a new album since delivering If He Dies, If If If If If If and a collaborative LP with Suuns in 2015, but that will change later this year.
The experimental Beirut/Montreal band will put out their third album Daqa'iq Tudaiq on October 5 via Constellation Records.
The record opens with a four-part reinterpretation of an Egyptian song called "Ya Garat Al Wadi" (originally by Mohammad Abdel Wahab), accompanied by a 15-piece orchestra that bandleader Radwan Ghazi Moumneh assembled in Beirut.
The latter half of the album features solo pieces by Moumneh, delving into more avant-garde sounds featuring buzuk and electronics. See the full tracklisting below.
Ahead of the album's arrival, the band have unveiled "Thahab, Mish Roujou', Thahab," which translated from Arabic means "(The Act of) Departing, Not Returning, Departing." It arrives with an accompanying video, which you can watch below.
