James Blake had a hand in producing, arranging and playing on Frank Ocean's "Godspeed," and the artist has now shared his cover version of the Blonde song.
Having performed a snippet of the cover for an Instagram Live audience earlier this year, Blake's version of "Godspeed" now arrives alongside an incredibly dark music video. If you focus hard enough, you'll see Blake's gone full-LA with a new cut-and-dye job.
"This song has always been special to me," Blake shared in a statement. "But I wasn't expecting the response it's gotten. Love to everyone who willed the full recording into existence."
This year, Blake has shared new songs "You're Too Precious" and "Are You Even Real?" alongside work with Flatbush Zombies and Toronto's Mustafa. His most recent album remains 2019's Assume Form.
