Jaga Jazzist Detail New Album 'Pyramid'

Hear the lead single "Spiral Era" off their first LP in five years

Norwegian eight-piece Jaga Jazzist have shared details behind their first album in nearly five years. Titled Pyramid, the band's ninth studio LP will arrive April 24 through Brainfeeder, marking their first effort for the label.

Featuring four tracks, Pyramid marks Jaga Jazzist's first self-produced album and finds the group diving into post-rock, jazz and psychedelia with nods to '80s outfit Out to Lunch, Norwegian synth player Ståle Storløkken, and modern contemporaries such as Tame Impala, Todd Terje and Jon Hopkins.

Pyramid's four tracks reference the building blocks that make up a pyramid, and how each fit together. A first taste of the LP arrives with "Spiral Era," which you can hear below.

Jaga Jazzist's last album was 2015's StarfirePyramid is now available to pre-order.
