HAIM Open Up About the Depression That Inspired New Single "Now I'm in It"

HAIM are about to drop a new single called "Now I'm in It," and the sister trio have revealed the mental health struggle that inspired the song.

In a series of tweets, Danielle Haim explained that the song is about going through depression. She said she and her sisters have experienced times "where we have felt like we are stuck in a dark hole."

Haim went on to explain the track mimics the chaos in her mind when she is spiralling and having difficulty working through those moments.

The middle Haim sister also noted that she has become better at recognizing the symptoms over the years and come to accept that she has to reach out for help when she starts to spiral.

Haim closed with a reminder to talk openly about depression and to "be nice to yourself."
