GrimSkunk Announce Western Canada Tour Behind 'Set Fire!'

BY Gregory AdamsPublished Sep 17, 2012

Long-running punk/metal hybridists GrimSkunk issued their latest LP Set Fire! this past May, marking the first new album from the outfit since 2006. To celebrate the feat, the classic Quebecois combo will head out west for a quickie tour this October.

The band will make their way out from the Prairies towards British Columbia. The tour kicks off October 10 in Winnipeg and wraps October 19 in Vancouver. You can catch all the details for the ten-show spree, which features support on all dates from Toronto's Dearly Beloved, down below.

Set Fire! was recorded by Gus Van Go and Werner F (Priestess, the Stills) in Sydney, Australia, and showcases the genre-blending unit's "whirlwind of punk angst and outrage, and the hopeful, almost hippie idealism of those who dare to dream." You can check out the alternately crunchy and dubby album track "Set Fire to the Nation" at the bottom of the page.
