Grimes has finally shared the video for her Ode-to-Elon "Player of Games," which was teased with a brief trailer earlier this week.
The full-length video makes good on the promise of that teaser clip, with a lot of giant chess pieces, space-age feudalism — leaning into the whole Marie Antionette of pop stan culture thing? — and some lightsaber-esque fluorescent light tubes. It's probably Grimes' most high-production video to date, and features a lot of big set pieces, expensive-looking costumes and special effects.
Knowing that the hulking, chess-playing knight is a stand-in for Elon Musk makes the whole thing unintentionally hilarious, but it's a pretty impressive video nonetheless.
