The Greater Wall

'Songs About Death and Depression Just for Fun'

When Chris Van Der Laan and Ryan Walter Wagner aren't rapping together as Chrissy and Ryry (who form part of Vancouver's weed-obsessed Too High Crew), they make punk in a trio called the Greater Wall with drummer Dustin Bromley. Now, following a couple of years' worth of EPs and oddments, they have collected it all into a compilation called Songs About Death and Depression Just for Fun.

The 14-track album contains all of the songs from 2014's Whatever, Feels Real and 2015's Forbidden T-Shirt EPs, plus unreleased material and covers of Oblivians and the Modern Lovers.

Those who have heard some of these songs on the group's past releases might notice a few alterations. An description on Bandcamp points out that the tracks have been "remastered and remixed and in a couple instances, augmented or changed George Lucas-style."

Listen below. This follows a discography-spanning comp from another one of the prolific Van Der Laan's many projects, Baby Control.
