The Glorious Sons

"Mama"

BY Alex HudsonPublished Jul 9, 2013

Kingston rockers the Glorious Sons just won 97.7 HTZ-FM's Rocksearch, and now they're gearing up to release an album in September. They've also shared a taste of what they're working on in the form of the LP cut "Mama."

The album was produced by John-Angus Macdonald (of the Trews) and mixed by Gordie Johnson (of Big Sugar). "Mama" begins with a cappella vocals and quickly turns into a soul-flavoured rock tune replete with crunchy strumming and cowbell plonks. It climaxes with a wheezing harmonica jam before breaking down for an a cappella finish.
