Grand Theft Auto V's musical accompaniment keeps getting more elaborate. The videogame already has its own massive soundtrack, while the new version comes with expanded radio station playlists, and now Gangrene (the collaboration between the Alchemist and Oh No) have announced an album that will be packaged with the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V.
As a taste of The Alchemist and Oh No Present: Welcome to Los Santos, they have released a track called "Play It Cool" with Earl Sweatshirt and Future Islands' Samuel T. Herring.
The track sports crackly, analogue-sounding samples with lots of tense bass figures and trilling flutes. Herring contributes some sonorous, dramatic singing and Earl offers up a rapped verse.
The Alchemist and Oh No Present: Welcome to Los Santos will debut inside of the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V starting April 14. The standalone release with follow on April 21 through Mass Appeal Records/Rockstar Games. Other featured guests include Little Dragon, Phantogram, Freddie Gibbs, Killer Mike, Tunde Adebimpe (of TV on the Radio). The album was inspired by the GTA V soundtrack.
