Coming off the early 2016 vinyl release of Fucked Up's Zanzibar score, the arty hardcore twisters have announced they'll be returning to their long-loved Zodiac series. Though an official due date has yet to be locked down, the band's "Year of the Snake" slithers out of stereo speakers early next year via Tankcrimes Inc.
Not many details exist behind the 12-inch single just yet, Tankcrimes confirmed the record's arrival with Punknews, adding that it marks the label's 100th release. The band had, however, previously revealed that "Year of the Snake" would be an in-studio collaboration with DOOMSQUAD.
As for the single, "Year of the Snake" will be the eight entry in Fucked Up's proposed 12-song series dedicated to the Chinese zodiac, and it follows 2015's "Year of the Hare." While that last entry had arrived through Deathwish Inc., 2014's "Year of the Dragon" had also been pressed up by Tankcrimes.
In related news, 2016 marks the 10th anniversary of Fucked Up's first hefty full-length, Hidden World. To celebrate, the punky sextet are playing the album in full for a series of European dates. You'll find the date details over here.
Fucked Up's last official full-length was 2014's Glass Boys.
