Frank Ocean Hits the Studio with Pharrell Williams

BY Gregory AdamsPublished May 2, 2011

Just like the rest of the Odd Future clan, R&B singer Frank Ocean has had a busy year. His smooth, hyper-sexual Nostalgia/Ultra mixtape garnered a heap of praise and has picked up some pretty high-profile fans. Last week, we tipped you off to an upcoming collaboration with Nas, but some recent studio pics confirm that Ocean's been working with hip-hop notable Pharrell Williams as well.

Hypetrack points to some pictures of Ocean spending time with the N.E.R.D. vocalist/producer in the recording studio. No word yet on what the team-up will yield, but a post on Ocean's Twitter suggests that Williams has been stacking up his patented falsetto on the tracks.

"The pharrell harmonizations. Swag," Ocean wrote.

In other Ocean news, we still don't know why the guy was locked up by LAPD last week, but he's been relatively chill about the situation since ranting online, post-lock-up.
