It's not too hard to find a bargain-bin copy of Fleetwood Mac's 1979 album Tusk, but that doesn't make it any less of a classic. Soon, the record will receive a deluxe reissue that will add a pile of bonus material to the already-hefty tracklist.
This lavish box set includes five CDs, two vinyl LPs and a DVD, making for a total of eight discs. It will be out on December 4 through Rhino.
The CDs include the remastered original album; an alternate version of the record; outtake versions of tracks, various singles, demos and remixes; and two discs' worth of live performances from the band's 1979 tour. The live tracks include lots of Tusk tunes, plus past hits like "Landslide," "You Make Loving Fun," "Rhiannon," "Don't Stop" and "Go Your Own Way." A number of the outtakes across these discs are previously unreleased.
The DVD includes a 5.1 surround sound mix of Tusk, and the vinyl consists of the original album across two LPs. The whole thing comes in a fancy box with extended liner notes containing new interviews with all of the band members. That's what the set looks like above.
